What is Bellaire Town Square?
Patrons’ current goal is to raise $3,000,000 to complete the construction of Bellaire Town Square- a showpiece park and town center for the City of Bellaire.
In 2004, the City completed its acquisition of the residential lots in Loftin Park. That same year, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board developed a Conceptual Master Plan for merging Bellaire and Loftin Parks to create Bellaire Town Square (BTS), a flagship park, and town center and large urban oasis filled with unique recreational spaces. When complete, Bellaire Town Square will feature an outdoor pavilion, an expansive events lawn, a paved plaza with interactive water feature and a skate park, in addition to the existing tennis courts and Little League baseball field, recently completed aquatic center and Loftin Park playground. The BTS complex also includes the Recreation Center, City Hall, the Police and Court Building and the Fire Departments.
